Note: The PCB of my BASF 6106 differs from the one in the manuals!

In figure no. 5 you can see a special feature of BASF 6106. The stepper functions here via a spiral wheel (bottom right). The r/w head is retracted via a return spring.

In total I have three drives of type BASF 6106 (LSI):

  1. 31.75, 88101-603, 950659, no PCB
  2. 01.80, 88101-407, 616892, no PCB, with Shugart front plate
  3. 04.80, 88101-602, 631280, with working PCB

The number 1 is odd because the date code and serial number do not quite match the other two. The drives no. 1 and 2 are working well, I changed the PCB from no. 3. Only the RPM have to be adjusted with the resistor (POTI) R47.
